Summary

Kitsune are a subrace of demon created by the first goddess of magic, they are commonly seen possessing summoning magic which shows up at a very young age. It is common to see young Kitsune summoning fire sprites, these later became known as foxfires. Foxfires are used everywhere in kitsune culture, their paper lamps for celebrations and holidays, their stoves, and even their vehicles. Summoners are often seen with many familiars and are highly respected in their community due to their helpful nature. However many are afraid to cross them due to how powerful even a low tier summoner can be. Kitsune villages often include buildings constructed with clay with floors made of woven straw. The most notable Kitsune is the halfbreed  Lanticora Astra Henderal the 12th ruler of the Henderal Kingdom, and the one to bring the liberation reforms to that kingdom.

Appearance

Kitsune usually stand at around 91cm to 163cm they are usually thought of as beautiful or elegant including the men compared to most humanoid races. they usually have Green Purple or Silver eyes. black, silver, or orange hair. and are usually seen surrounded by many small blue floating fires with anywhere between 1 to 9 tails depending on their age or power. They gain a new tail every few hundred years each one granting a special power. the first of which always giving them a secret mana type.

Background

Once only found on the Astral layer of the hells which is the top most, these foxlike demons were created by the goddess of magic. their society was always dedicated to culture and handling everything with care including the foxfires. They would have many festivals celebrating the passage of time or even the life that they get to live. their buildings were often made mostly of clay due to the ease of molding and the ability to bake it with their foxfires they would then lay sheets of woven straw to act as flooring. They were always known for their ability to cook being the first to learn how to do it and their wide range of ingredients. One day however kitsune men started disappearing, eventually it was figured out that the Succubi were stealing them for fluid extraction so they could use that mana to experiment with their enchantment magic. Soon a war broke out between them for several centuries which involved many kidnappings of succubi. One day a Kitsune soldier kidnapped Lanticora Henderal I but instead of killing her as was procedure he would take her to his home and teach her the ways of Kitsune culture. Soon before the war ended the leader of the Kitsunes gave up his firstborn son to the Kitsune clan as an offering of peace this marriage stopped the war with the succubi which made it legal for them to take up residence in the astral layer as long as they behaved themselves.

Relationships

Kitsunes are known amongst humanoids of being rather helpful to those around them although not showing very much emotion or talking much with their community. they tend to live on the outskirts of their town and have many cute pets around them. It is common to not see the same kitsune ever again in your life if you do not live in the towns that they tend to populate.
