Why

In 1349 Henderal Intelligence discovered two cities north of the Cragslewn mountain range north of Astralstar the Henderal kingdom started going into talks about trading land with the crimson monarchy to break away any chance the Crimson monarchy would be able to tread into these kingdoms without confirming it will not give them too much power. in 1350 it was discovered that the northern cities had powerful artifacts within their borders. In 1352 the Crimson Monarchy declared war on the Henderal Kingdom soon sending assassins for the royal families heads.

What Happened

The Crimson monarchy led raids on several of the bordering towns where when they were successful they would have their way with the women and children commonly ripping them in half in the process this led to a forming of the most powerful soldiers in the army to a single group that scours the borders while the generals form relations with the northern cities and establish trade routes for the artifacts. Dragons would attack whenever the generals would come near the cities and occasionally some soldiers would get lost in the Cragslewn mountain range finding caves burned into the mountains containing Red(fire) and Green(acid) dragons.  In 1355 Lanticora Astra Henderal ascended to the throne and was almost assassinated. Lanticora Established the H council to take control of the city nearest the safest passage to the north and the League of Knights which were all trained to wield the standard equipment of that group then were each given an enchanted set of armor that is able to repair itself after each blow, and a tri extending blade each piece containing a different enchantment each one meant to be able to bypass any resistance the enemy had these soldiers were then ordered to sweep across the north. The Crimson Monarchy surrendered in 1358 where they seceeded their northern access points to the Henderal Kingdom and signed a trade agreement for precious gems to be shipped to the Henderal Kingdom

Aftermath

The Crimson Monarchy ordered a kingdom wide ban on magic in their city providing each visitor an amulet that absorbs mana from those wearing it. The Henderal Kingdom recieved a complete overhaul to their governing structure and to their laws allowing same sex relations and forcing churches to provide free healing in exchange for not being required to pay taxes. Magic research would recieve significant funding as well as the magic schools to encourage advancement. The establishment of the H council a group of the most powerful mages of their respective mana as a governing branch and allowing the people to aid in the monarchy's decision making. And finally Dragons would be allowed to establish residence in the Henderal Kingdom in exchange for the northern cities to trade their artifacts out for study
